Creating Connections

A third song that surfaced from these poems is “Morning Glory,” an instrumental piece played on my clawhammer banjo. When I combined the writing of my poems with the writing of a captured moment (writing as a snapshot in time) as I recalled watching bumble bees fly into and crawl out of the purple morning glory flowers growing on the backyard fence of my childhood home, “Morning Glory” arrived in my heart and on my fingertips.
